Make Your Own Raspberry Pi Laptop Using The Official Screen And This 3D Printed Case

We’ve seen a few different portable Pi projects, but over on Thingiverse, user surferboy put together a laptop that’s pretty slick looking and on the easier end to actually build.

Alongside a Raspberry Pi, this project uses the official 7″ touchscreen display and RII keyboard and touchpad and a variety of other smaller parts. That’s all packed inside of surferboy’s 3D printed case, and everything can be assembled with just a few basic soldering skills.

The case alone is on the expensive end, coming it around $US100 ($130) to have printed through Print a Thing, but it’s a pretty clever little project nonetheless. Head over to Thingiverse for a parts list and all the files you’d need.
