Here Is The Winner Of Sodastream’s Iceland Competition!

Last week, we ran a competition to win a five-night holiday in Reykjavik, the capital city of Iceland. To win, you needed to successfully answer five questions about Sodastream’s Shame or Glory video against the clock. Here is the winner!

Reykjavik is the home of iconic Game of Thrones star Thor “The Mountain” Bjornson, who recently featured in a hilarious video urging Aussies to ditch plastic water bottles. To raise awareness for the campaign, Sodastream offered to fly one lucky Lifehacker reader and a guest to Reykjavik for five nights, plus $1000 spending money.

Entrants needed to find five “hidden” questions embedded in our weekly newsletter and email their answers as quickly as possible – and boy, were you guys fast! Many of you managed to complete the competition in under five minutes, so hats off to your sleuthing skills.

But in the end, there can only be one winner.

Congratulations to Maria Mead who was the first to correctly answer all five questions. (She even found time to thank us for the opportunity – bless.)

Sodastream will be in contact about your prize in the coming days, Maria. To recap, here’s what you won:

Major Prize is valued at $15,000 AUD, including:

  • Return economy flights for 2 persons to Reykjavik, Iceland, from any Australian capital city (transfers not included.)
  • 5 nights accommodation for 2 persons in Reykjavik, Iceland (hotel dependent on travel dates – 4 star minimum.)
  • A monetary cheque or bank transfer valued at $1,000 AUD.

Enjoy!
