Get Super Mario Run On iPhones And iPads

Nintendo has finally released the first Mario game on mobile phones and tablets. The game is available on iOS devices. Here’s what you need to know.

Super Mario Run requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 8 or higher. Much like the old school Super Mario games, this new title is a 2D platformer. If you’re a long-time Mario fan, you’ll be familiar with the visuals of Super Mario Run; coins to collect, enemies to crush and ledges to jump on.

What’s different about Super Mario Run is that it’s designed specifically for mobile touchscreens; you can even play the game with one hand.

You do need to be connected to the internet to play this game so if you’re stuck on a plane with no WiFi, you’re out of luck.

Super Mario Run is free to download from the Apple App Store, which gives you access to trial levels. The full version of the game costs $US9.99, charged as an in-app purchase.

The Android version of Super Mario Run will be released at later but we don’t know the exact date.
