A First-Person Perspective On How To Tie A Neck Tie

A First-Person Perspective On How To Tie A Neck Tie

There a million websites dedicated to explaining the various ways you can tie a neck tie, but watching someone do it is different from doing it yourself. To minimise the mental gymnastics required, YouTuber BeatTheBush had the idea to record a POV video showing a common way to tie a neck tie.

Most tie explainers depict the directions as though you’re watching someone tie their own necktie facing you, which requires you to essentially rotate the directions 180 degrees so that you can mimic the motions from your own perspective. BeatTheBush forgoes that with a simple first-person perspective video. He opts for a Windsor knot, probably the most common method. Given that I only wear a neck tie a handful of times a year, I admit that I still often Google it to get it right. And it is, of course, far from the only way to do it.
