The PlayStation Network Is Down (For The Umpteenth Time)

Yes, the PlayStation Network (PSN) is down yet again after being unavailable to gamers on numerous occasions these past few months. Here are the details.

At the time of publication, PSN has been down for around 40 minutes. Sony is aware of the issue that appears to be affecting users worldwide. Australian gamers have been reporting that they are unable to log into PSN, according to Aussie Outages.

According to the PSN Network Service Status page all services including Account Management, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Video are down:

In September, the PSN suffered two major outages. Then in October, PSN went down again.
