Learn How Build Apps Using Xamarin In Visual Studio With Free Lessons From Microsoft

If you’re a developer who want to start creating cross-platform mobile apps using Xamarin tools in Visual Studio, Microsoft has released a series of detailed videos that guide you through the process.

Xamarin is a cross-platform mobile app development software that has been folded into Microsoft’s Visual Studio since it was acquired by back in February. Microsoft is eager to encourage developers to make use of Xamarin features in its integrated development environment (IDE).

At Microsoft Connect developer conference earlier this month, the vendor ran a series of in-depth classes on how to use Xamarin tools in Visual Studio, from creating a new project all the way to deploying an app to users. The video recordings of these classes have now been released online.

Here’s the full lessons list:

  1. Introduction to Xamarin Platform
  2. Introduction to Xamarin.Forms
  3. XAML Fundamentals
  4. Adding Azure Web Services
  5. UITesting
  6. Distributing your application and collecting information
