How To Make DIY Barf Bags For Your Car

If you drive for a ride sharing service like Uber or Lyft, know someone who gets carsick a lot, or you’re usually the designated driver for your drunk friends, you need some barf bags in your car. These DIY ones are effective, easy to make, and even look somewhat decent.

To make a DIY barf bag, the guys at the HouseholdHacker YouTube channel recommend you take a flat-bottomed brown paper bag — the kind cashiers store glassware in — and stuff a plastic bag inside of it. Then roll up the excess plastic on the sides and fold up the brown paper bag for easy stowing. You now have a compact barf bag you can stick in the glove box, in your door storage compartment or in the pouches behind your seat.

Yes, you could just use a plastic bag, but the brown paper bag adds an extra layer of absorbent drip protection, and it hides the unsavoury contents. Plus, they’re pretty cheap: you can get 30 of them for around $15. For more grocery bag hacks, check out the full video above.
