Facebook’s making it easier to get recommendations from your friends with the new, appropriately-titled Recommendations feature. When you ask for suggestions for something, Facebook will map them out and show you more information about the businesses your friends suggest.
For example, say you want to find out if there are any good restaurants nearby. Your friends can tag any restaurants they happen to like. Those locations will then appear as pink dots on a map just below your status. You can then tap that business to learn more about them. Facebook’s also adding the ability to book appointments, buy tickets, and request quotes from those businesses, so your friends recommendations can help you get what you need quicker.
