Kogan Mobile has turned one today and the company is celebrating by releasing a limited time deal that gives new customers unlimited standard calls and text along with 12GB of data for $4.90. Here’s how the deal works.

What Kogan has done is reduced the price of it $49.90 Extra Large plan to $4.90 for the first recharge for new customers. There is no locked-in contract involved and the 12GB will last for 30 days. After the first recharge expires, subsequent ones will revert back to $49.90.

This is the cheapest deal per megabyte of data that Kogan has offered since it relaunched a year ago.

Kogan Mobile uses the Vodafone 4G Network. Data is rounded to the nearest kilobyte.
