Tea tree oil is an essential oil made from the leaves of the tea tree (not to be confused with the common tea plant). It can kill bacteria and fungus, and is often used to treat skin infections, fungal infections, lice, scabies, and athlete’s foot. That’s why Brittney Morgan at Apartment Therapy suggests it makes a great ingredient for a homemade after-shower spray.

Grab an empty spray bottle and mix 20 drops of tea tree oil with two cups of distilled white vinegar, and two teaspoons of non-castille based liquid dish soap. After showering every day, give your shower a spritz and you won’t have to worry about any buildup or funky smells. You can even keep the spray in the shower so you never forget.
