Airmail For iPhone Adds Undo Send And Smart Notifications

iOS: Airmail is one of the best email apps on iOS, provided you don’t mind spending a little time tweaking it. Today, the app’s getting a bunch of new features that push those customisation options even further.

One feature users of the Airmail Mac app are sure to appreciate is the new Undo Send option that will allow you to undo sending an email within the first few seconds of sending it if you accidentally tapped the send button. More interesting is a slew of new notification options that allow you to tweak your notifications in a ton of different ways.

First up is Smart Notifications, which attempts to only send notifications when you get an email from contacts and won’t send notifications for newsletters or anything similar. There’s also a notifications scheduler that lets you set up specific “do not disturb” times for each email account. Finally, there’s a “notifications based on location” option, which means you can essentially set it up so you only receive email notifications if you’re in a specific location, like your office. There are some other minor improvements in this update as well, including follow up reminders, per-contact notification muting and Day One and Ulysses integration.
