Google Contacts App Gets Better Labels And Duplicate Management

Google Contacts App Gets Better Labels And Duplicate Management

Android: Google’s Contacts app is handy, but it’s always been a bit barebones. Now, it’s getting a little bit better with easier ways to manage your labels and remove the duplicates from your lists.

The old Contacts app had two very simple lists, for your Favourite contacts and for all of them. Now, you’ll see the Favourites inline at the top of your contacts list. You can also slide out the left-hand navigation panel to scroll through your labels, switch accounts and access settings. At the top you’ll also see an option to review and merge your duplicate contacts. It’s a minor update, but it brings several welcome changes.
