Add A Pat Of Cream Cheese To Your Muffins For Extra Delicious Tops

Everyone knows the most delicious part of the muffin is the top, and you can make yours even more delicious with a pat of cream cheese.

The idea comes from Food 52’s delicious, boozy pumpkin cupcakes, but can be used on any flavour of cupcake or muffin that would benefit from salty, tangy cream cheese. (Carrot cake and dark chocolate would be my top two picks, to be very honest.) Just fill your muffin cups 3/4 full with batter and drop a tablespoon of cream cheese on top of each one and bake according to your recipe. Remove from the oven, eat the top and throw the rest away. (Just kidding. Kind of.)
