Yelp Makes Planning Pokemon GO Adventures Easier With a PokeStop Filter

If you and your friends want to find the best Pokemon GO hot spots this weekend, Yelp has added a filter so you know what businesses have a PokeStop nearby.

All you have to do is open up the Yelp app on your iOS or Android device or pull up the Yelp web site, search for a type of local business (bars, restaurants and so on), then swipe through the filter options at the top and select “PokeStop Nearby”. Now you’ll only see business that are a PokeStop or have one in its vicinity. For the feature to work well, however, Yelp users have to check-in to these locations and say there’s one nearby by answering a quick question. That means it may not be 100 per cent accurate all the time, but it still might be helpful for those who want to hit the town and stock up on PokeBalls at the same time. Of course, the filter can also be used to avoid places teeming with Pokemon GO players if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with it all.
