Oh, last remaining bits of delicious peanut butter in the jar, how I hate to waste thee. If you feel the same way, here are three clever ways to use them up and enhance future meals. Photo by Daniel Oines.
To make good use of those dregs, Caroline Lange at Food52 suggests that you can make a few different types of sauce: A dressing, Asian-style dipping sauce or a flavorful marinade:
Make a dressing out of it. Miso + peanut butter + chilli sauce + apple cider vinegar for pasta salad, peanut butter + soy sauce + Sriracha + fish sauce for udon noodles or dipping. Soy sauce + garlic + sherry vinegar and you've got a marinade for tofu (or anything else).
Best of all, you can mix these right in the peanut butter jar itself. Just add the ingredients to taste, or check out their recipes at the link below. Of course, if you're interested something a little sweeter, you can also make a batch of peanut butter hot chocolate right in the jar as well.
