iOS: Up until recently, Pocket Casts was our favourite podcast manager for the iPhone. While it’s not our favourite any more, it’s still very good, and if you’re a regular user, you’ll be happy to see a few improvements arrive today.
The first thing you’ll notice when you boot up the app is a reworked design. The interface is a little quicker and more streamlined than before. There’s also now a dark theme for those night time podcast sessions. Aside from that, you’ll get some new features as well, including a remove silence option that cuts the silence from podcasts, a much-needed volume boost option, a significantly improved queue manager and an improved discover section. A number of these features have already made it into the Android version, so it’s nice to see them here.
