In preparation for the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft has released new firmware and drivers for its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 devices. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Windows Central, here’s what the July update includes:
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Pen Settings
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Touch Servicing ML
- Intel(R) Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED
- Intel(R) Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Button
- Microsoft driver update for Surface System Aggregator Firmware
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Touch
If you have Windows Update turned on, new firmware and drivers will be pushed to your device automatically. Alternatively, you can manually check for the updates in settings. A restart will be required to apply the changes.
