Hatch Eggs In Pokemon GO With A Turntable

Hatch Eggs In Pokemon GO With A Turntable

Certain aspects of Pokemon GO, like hatching eggs, require a great deal of walking, running or biking. If moving is more difficult for you, however, a basic turntable can help even the playing field.

The only way you can hatch the egg items you sometimes get at PokeStops is by travelling around until you’ve gone 2, 5 or 10km, depending on the egg. This video from the Tech Insider YouTube channel suggests a great alternative for those who can’t be on their feet all day: Place your phone on a spinning turntable. Just make sure your phone is unlocked, the app is open, the phone is resting on the edge of the turntable (with a little bit of hanging), and you have the turntable set to the highest speed. It will still take a while to build up the distance needed to hatch an egg, but it works. Other options include attaching your phone to a Roomba or even a dog to do the work for you.

Yes, these methods are technically cheating, and they can be abused by lazy trainers. But they can also be used by people who can’t get around as easily and still want to be a part of the phenomenon.
