Sometimes you’ve just got to get a workout in, but your baby or toddler doesn’t want to leave you alone. Fortunately, a lot of exercises still work with a baby in a carrier. Just think of your bundle of joy as a squirming weighted vest.

Cosmopolitan highlights six exercises that work with any age baby, so long as you’re comfortable with the extra weight and are sure you’ve tucked the baby in securely. Then there are two more that only work for older babies and for toddlers, since the kid needs to hold their own head up in these moves.

Although they bill this as a “postpartum” workout, the babies in the video are almost two years old. As long as your kid still fits the carrier’s weight limit (and, again, as long as you’re comfortable working out with their weight) these are exercises that can grow with them.
