Transform A Drill Press Into A Disc Sander With A Few Attachments

Video: If you’re looking to add a disc sander to your tool collection, and already own a drill press, this clever DIY build is perfect. All you need is a few attachments and some other workshop essentials.

In this video from the Toolify YouTube channel, Kriss walks you through his clever method for turning a standard drill press into a disc sander. The key components are a right angle drill adaptor and a lazy Susan bearing. Once you have it all assembled, the drill press will spin the sandpaper disc attached to the lazy Susan bearing through the right angle adaptor. Kriss notes that his build is missing any sort of dust collection, but you can tackle that yourself with the right know-how.
