Make This Delicious Four-Minute Lemon Cake In Your Microwave

A deliciously light and citrusy lemon cake doesn’t have to take a ton of time in a hot oven to bake. This lemon cake takes about four minutes, and you can make the whole thing using nothing but your microwave. It’s about as simple as it gets.

You’ll need some things you probably have kicking around the pantry already, like flour (self-raising) sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract and, of course, the zest of a lemon, which gives the cake that lemony punch. Mix everything up into a batter, pour it into a greased microwave-safe pan, and pop it in the science oven for about three to four minutes until it’s springy and cooked through. The only thing you might not have is the lemon curd that goes into the microwave for about 30 seconds after the cake is done, and eventually gets drizzled all over the top of the cake.

That’s the whole process. It’s easy, easy to remember and with the exception of the lemon and lemon curd, you may already have the ingredients. Hit play on the video above to see the process in action, or the link below for the full recipe.
