Instagram Business Tools is a new suite of application for the popular photo sharing platform that will allow businesses to a home base for their products on Instagram. With an estimated global user base of 400 million, this probably isn’t something that your business should ignore.
For the past year, Instagram has been working with small and medium businesses to tailor a product that allows them to do more than simply share photos with prospective customers. The result is Instagram Business Tools; a central hub that includes a detailed profile (including business address and contact button), an insights tool (which provides metrics on which content is resonating with followers) and a “promote” feature (which lets businesses set up, define and launch advertising campaigns from within the app.)
This all sounds very similar to the inbuilt business tools provided by Facebook, right down to the name of certain functions. With that said, the fact that Instagram is exclusively mobile is sure to make advertising easier.
