Video: Like it or not, sometimes we all must endure cold and wet winter weather while we carry on with life and work. But neither cold nor rain stays these life hackers from the swift completion of their appointed blogs! That’s why we’re putting a few cold weather tips to the test.
We’re trying a few things today that might help us weather the storm, including an improvised hand warmer from calcium chloride, waterproofing shoes with wax and a small space heater using candles and a flower pot. (There are a lot of variations on the flower pot heater — some suggest using more than one pot — but it seems like a bad idea to start a fire indoors anyway.)
