How To Protect A Wedding Dress When You Need To Pee

Keeping your wedding dress clean until you walk down the aisle can be a challenge, especially when you’re all dressed up… and then you need to use the bathroom. Luckily, protecting your wedding dress is easy: all you need is a large garbage bag.

Stock up on a couple of trash bags, and start by cutting a hole in the bottom of each. You want the hole to be wide enough to fit your legs, but not so wide your dress pokes through. You can store these prepped bags in the venue bathroom, or your wedding day emergency kit, if you have one.

When you need to use the bathroom, grab a bag and a bridesmaid to help you balance and stuff your dress into the bag. Put your feet through the bag (smaller opening at the bottom), keeping them close together. Pull the bag up your legs, pushing your dress into the bag. Once you have the bottom of the bag around your waist and the bottom of your dress safely encased in the bag, you’re ready to use the bathroom without risk to your dress. Make sure you use one hand to hold the bag (and dress) up. For a more visual guide, hit the link below.
