Master Walking In Heels With These Three Tips

Master Walking In Heels With These Three Tips

You can do a lot of things to make heels easier to wear, like buying more supportive shoes or adding extra padding. How you wear heels makes a difference, too. Here are three tips to make walking in heels easier, and easier on your feet.

You can see the three following tips, plus more information, in the video above. For those of you who can’t watch, here’s the breakdown:

  1. Start with a more stable design, like a wedge or chunky heel. Your weight will have more shoe to be distributed across, making you less likely to wobble.
  2. Generally, walk heel first to give yourself a solid step that supports you and makes you look confident.
  3. On stairs, walk toe first when going up in case you miss a step, you’ll have an easier time catching yourself. When going down, plant your whole foot firmly before taking the next step.

If you’re just starting out with heels, look for ones that aren’t as high and that have ankle straps to offer more support. What this all comes down to is keeping stability in mind, from the design of shoes you buy to how you walk in them.
