Detailed silverware and jewellery can have some areas that are difficult to reach. Use twine or string dipped in a bit of polish to make reaching those areas easier.
Cut off enough string so that you have room to hold the ends and work it back and forth to polish. Dip or rub some silver polish on the middle of the string, then work it into the hard to reach spot. You can use this technique to get in between the tines of forks, loops of jewellery or other small spots on silver household items.
