Make A DIY Photo Reflector Out Of Poster Board And A Survival Blanket

Photo reflectors can improve the lighting in your photos and videos dramatically, but there’s no need to spend a ton of money on them if you don’t have to. Here’s a clever and cheap DIY option.

If you’re looking for an easy way to light your shots, Instructables user TheCoffeeDude has the perfect DIY photo reflector guide. Get some large pieces of poster board and attach them with gaffer tape so they have a kind of hinge for folding and positioning.

Then crinkle up one of those silver emergency survival blankets so there are a ton of wrinkles in it. Apply some spray adhesive to one side of your fold out poster board and then stick the blanket to it. All in all, it shouldn’t cost you more than $15 to have a nice photo reflector and you can make your own custom shapes and sizes. You can find the complete how-to guide at the link below.
