When someone throws hate your way, Neil Patel at Entrepreneur recommends you first identify if any of what they said is true. If it’s something you can fix, fix it. If not, forget it. If you can’t seem to get over what someone has said or written about you, however, Patel suggests you replace their message with three awesome things you’ve done. Either write them out or list them in your head. Why three? Because three awesome things always overpowers one little thing that someone is criticising you about. It’s even better if they’re things that contradict what the hater is saying. Sometimes all you need to handle haters and trolls is a quick reminder that you do plenty of things right. It doesn’t matter what people tell you or say about you; what matters is how you handle it.
