Let's face it. Even if you just tear into freshly baked brownies with your fingers, they're going to be delicious. But sometimes, you need to cut them cleanly without tearing them up. Enter the plastic knife.

Plastic knives are naturally non-stick and won't tear your brownies up as you make your slices. After you make each slice, just wipe the blade off and dive back in. If you don't have a plastic knife, you can also dip your metal knife into a bit of cold water or hit it with some non-stick cooking spray before making each slice. It doesn't work quite as well as plastic, but it will help.
Of course, no knife is going to give you perfect slices if you don't have the patience to wait until the brownies cool. That choice is up to you.
