The Musician's Paradise Workspace

The Musician's Paradise Workspace

Reader Jason Burns is a musician, and does a lot of work from his home studio. We've seen a bunch of studio workspaces, but this one makes great use of space, packs in a ton of equipment and makes it obvious that Jason lives and breathes his music.

The shot at the top of the article here is his recording station, where he both writes music and records and edits right on his computer. He noted that he didn't want his computer on top of the desk taking up space, so the Mac Pro and the RAID array he has for storage are both mounted under his desk, which you can see here. Below, you can see his more casual workspace, complete with an Evo Sit/Stand desk that he can adjust based on how he feels like working. Macbook Pro on the left there, and external display in the center. Lots of toys, games, and other inspiration on the bookshelf to the left, which we can appreciate in any space where you're working and living.

Here's another view of his sit/stand workspace below, straight on so you can see the desk elevated.

Finally, a shot of the whole space, all put together. If it's not obvious just yet by the use of space, it's more than just a workspace or an office — Jason lives here too, and it shows.

He notes that it took him a few months to get everything just right, but I can imagine it took months just to hang the guitars on the walls and set up the entertainment center. All in all, it's a great look.
