Quickly Convert DOCX Files To PDF With An Automator Action

Mac: Not a fan of using an office program just to read a DOCX file? Blogger Jacob Salmela shares an Automator script that will convert DOCX into a PDF with a right-click.

While you can always just quickly view a DOCX file in Quick Look (select it and tap the space bar) or open it up in TextEdit, Preview’s PDF viewer offers a much nicer reading experience. Salmela’s Automator action converts a DOCX file into a PDF from the right-click menu, making it a lot easier to convert the file, then open it up. If you get a lot of DOCX attachments for work or school, this makes reading them a much more pleasant experience.
