You can already install Chromium onto just about any computer out there, but that doesn't include single board computers, like the Raspberry Pi or C.H.I.P. While it's still early in development, Chromium OS for All SBC seeks to fix that oversight. As the name suggests, Chromium OS for All SBC is a version of Google's Chromium operating system built for single board computers. Right now, that just includes the Raspberry Pi 2 and Raspberry Pi 3. That said, this project is still in the very early stages. Right now, Chromium boots, but it's a little slow (you can see it in action via Lon.tv's YouTube video above), and certain aspects of operating system, like Wi-Fi, don't seem to work consistently (at least on the Pi 3). Still, if you like to cut your chops on the bleeding edge, this is a fun project to check out, even if its in its early stages.
