Stash Cleaning Supplies Where You Actually Need Them

If you keep a few cleaning supplies at the locations where you’ll use them, you’ll be likely to use them more often.

I was bringing in my mail recently and dropping it on the table by my front door when I noticed how dirty the window on the door was. I didn’t do anything about it right then because my cleaning supplies were in the laundry room and, of course, I forgot about it later. I didn’t do a 10 second job because fetching what I needed turned it into a five minute job.

I decided to start keeping a small supply of cleaning products stashed in various places near where I’d actually be using them to see if it made a difference. And it did. I put a tiny spray bottle with some Windex and a microfibre cloth in the drawer of my mail table and with minimal effort, my front windows are always clean now. I did similar things in the other rooms of the house and for such a stupid simple idea, it made a pretty big difference.
