iOS: The Low Power Mode introduced in iOS 9 is a great way to save some battery life when your power drops below 20 per cent. MacStories also points out that it’s perfect for holidays because it not only ups battery life, it also cuts out needless distractions.
Low Power Mode cuts power consumption by killing features such as background app refresh, automatic downloads and email fetch. This is the exact stuff you should probably turn off when you’re on holiday so you can actually enjoy it. Of course, everyone’s needs are different, but if you’re just looking for a quick toggle to cut away work distractions when you’re on holiday, Low Power Mode’s a good way to do it. Just head to Settings > Battery to turn it on, or just ask Siri to turn it on for you.
