Plan Fun Experiences at the End of Your Vacation for Better Memories

When we reflect back on a holiday, we tend to gauge how the whole thing was based on how it ends. This is at least partially because of the peak-end rule, a psychological heuristic that suggests we remember experiences based on their most intense moments and their ending instead of the sum of the experience. To take advantage of this quirk of the brain, The Wall Street Journal suggests saving a couple of activities your most excited about for the end, or even just waiting and splurging on that business class upgrade for the way home instead of the way out.
