Melt Butter For Baking In Your Preheating Oven

Melt Butter For Baking In Your Preheating Oven

If you have a recipe that calls for melted butter and a greased baking dish, you can kill two tasty birds in one oven by melting your butter in the preheating oven.

This tip is almost stupidly simple, but it will save you time and a dish or two. Just place whatever amount of butter you need melted in your baking dish, set it in a warming oven, and let the heat do its thing. Once the butter is melted, pour it out of the dish and incorporate it into the rest of your ingredients. A small amount of left-behind butter will coat the dish, eliminating the need to grease. It’s easy, elegant, and a bit lazy.
