Even if it’s not your job to read the evening news, a teleprompter can come in handy. Maybe you’re practicing a speech you haven’t memorized. Maybe you’re shooting an online video. Maybe you just want to time your presentation. TelePromptor turns your laptop, computer, or handheld device into a usable teleprompter.
It has a pretty simple interface. You just type your text into different lines, set your pauses, press play, and the web app does its thing. You can insert images and practice live with your device’s camera, too. The app is free and you don’t even have to register to you use. You only register and pay if you want the ability to save your scripts.
Because it is so simple, there are some limitations. You can’t make each line show up faster, for instance. Each line shows up according to how long the app thinks it should take you to read it, but if you’re a fast reader, this can be a bit frustrating.
However, it’s hard to complain about free, and for simply inserting and playing back text, this app does the job. Check it out for yourself at the link below.
