One trip to the hardware store for a tall trash bin, some hooks, and some accessories, and you have an all-in-one kit that keeps everything organised whether you’re using it to wrap gifts or stashing it in the closet for next year.

You’ll need a few supplies here, but all of them are available at any department store — or better yet, you probably have some of them around the house. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A clean, lidded trash can tall enough to fit rolls of wrapping paper (about 121l)
- A curtain rod set long enough to fit across the widest part of the trash can
- Two adhesive hooks to go inside the can
- A drill
Drill holes in the side of the can and push the curtain rods through. Make sure they are far enough apart so that rolls of ribbon can be hung on both rods. Stick the hooks on the inside rim of the trash can, then hang scissors and tape on them. Fill the rest of the can with rolls of wrapping paper. For a kit that’s easier to move, get a can with wheels.
