Transform Your BBQ Into A Pizza Oven On The Cheap

Transform Your BBQ Into A Pizza Oven On The Cheap

We’ve told you before how to turn your grill into pizza oven, but it’s tough to beat the convenience of gas. If you have a gas BBQ, here’s how you can get the same results.

You need a few supplies to make this work, but they won’t cost you much at all (or you may already have everything you need already!) Take four clean bricks and wrap them in aluminium foil. Stack them two high on the BBQ with enough room in between for a pizza stone. Take a rectangular pizza stone and place that on top of the bricks. This creates a “ceiling” to trap the heat. Then place a second, round pizza stone in your oven. This is the stone you’ll put the pizza on.

If you want to protect the stone from the BBQ grates, just add a stainless steel holder underneath. Now, you just need to add a thermometer inside the oven so you know when it’s time to put your pizza in, and you’re good to go.

Check out the video above to see this pizza oven in action, and the delicious results.
