Turn An Empty Plastic Bottle Into A Decorative Flower Vase

The next time you down one of your favourite sodas, you can recycle the bottle into something useful instead of tossing it out.

In this video, youtuber DaveHax demonstrates an easy way to turn a simple plastic bottle into a flower vase that actually looks pretty great. First, grab your empty bottle and cut off the top. Then make a mark on a pair of scissors a few inches from the point. Use that mark to cut slits down the side of the bottle about a centimeter apart. Once you’ve made all of your cuts, begin to bend the strands and weave them around the brim of the bottle. Now you’ve got a nice looking vase that won’t ever break.
