The Floating, Hand-Crafted Wood, Triple Monitor Workspace

Your desk, bookshelves, and other furniture really don’t need legs, as long as you can bolt them to the wall. That’s the case for this space-saving DIY workspace, with its wall-mounted planks of wood.

Flickr user Jim Palmer set up his triple monitor workspace in his multi-use room (dining room, kitchen, and living room combined). To create his “Hungarian-style desk,” he heavily sanded and coated a local wide-plank Jeffrey Pine wood piece, then hung it from bolted wall mounts made of dense pieces of Lodgepole.

The hanging shelves on the right is made of red oak. Besides the natural and rustic-meets-modern look, that custom platform for the desktop computer is pretty neat.
