Working on creative projects is tough enough as it is, but trying to schedule in time where you’ll be able create is next to impossible. To at least help with the process a little, 99U suggests creating a set of of “can’ts” when you’re working on projects.

The idea is to prevent yourself from doing the junk you shouldn’t be doing when you’ve blocked out a set of time to work on a creative project:

Set rules for your creative blocks. The rules should describe what is NOT allowed during creative work. For example, I have a strict ban on email during creative blocks.
