When your day is starting to drag, and you don’t want to drink any more coffee, there’s still a few things you can do to help you stay awake. This video explains four methods, supported by science, to keep the Z’s away.
In the video above, the Reactions YouTube channel explains the chemistry behind effective methods for keeping yourself awake. For example, you can watch online videos of cute animals to increase oxytocin levels in your brain and decrease Coriolis levels, helping you re-energize. Or you can drink a tall glass of water to fight off dehydration (which can make you groggy), while blasting your favourite tune to up your Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Dopamine levels in your brain. Last but not least, just take a walk and get yourself some sunlight to remind your brain it’s time to be awake.
