Start Dressing Nicer at Work to Keep Your Job Search Secret

Most of the time when you're looking for a new job, you don't want your current boss and co-workers to know. If you work in an office where you usually dress casually, though, suddenly coming in wearing a suit might give you away.

Instead, Careeralism advises, give your wardrobe a face-lift long before you start looking:

If you work in a very laid-back environment, swap casual slacks for jeans a couple of days a week. Wear a jacket once in a while, even if you keep it on the back of your chair most of the day. That way when you do come to the office dressed for a job interview no one will be the wiser.

There are lots of other things you'll need to do to keep your job search hidden, particularly if your company checks on employees, but this small and easy change can help as well.
