NetNewsWire Returns With Modern Features

Mac/iOS: Long ago, NetNewsWire was the default pick for RSS reader on the Mac. Then it disappeared for a while. Now it’s back with all the trimmings (and price) of a modern RSS reader. That includes a new iOS app.

NetNewsWire works exactly as you’d expect. It’s been updated with a new Yosemite-inspired interface, allows you to bookmark stories, share articles, read in a distraction-free browser, open up tabs and sync across devices with NetNewsWire Cloud Sync. The syncing is the rub, actually. NetNewsWire doesn’t sync with third-party RSS readers like Feedly (for that, we like Reeder), so you’ll have to import and use NewNewsWire in its own little bubble. It does sync perfectly with the new iOS app though. Thankfully, you can check out a demo before you go shelling out $13 for it.

NetNewsWire ($12.99) [Mac App Store]
NetNewsWire ($4.99) [iTunes App Store]
