Keep A Closet More Organised By Putting Your Most-Used Items At Eye Level

Closets can either be efficient storage spaces, or messy oubliettes where you hide things away from view. By putting your most-used items at eye level in your closets, you’ll be able to keep them more organised overall.

Digging through a closet for something you need creates a mess and undoes any organisation you may have already done. Maxwell Ryan of Apartment Therapy suggests you rethink how your closet is set up:

Store your most-used items at eye level, less-used items below and least-used items up high.

This does a couple things for your closet. First, you don’t have to search, dig, or reach for anything you use normally. Second, whatever items you choose to put up high will stay perfectly organised until you absolutely need them.

It’s not something a lot of us think about when we look at our closets (we can just close them and hide the mess), but even the tiniest of closets can be configured to store a lot of stuff and be very efficient.
