Input For iOS Is A One-Stop App For Creating Tasks, Messages, Notes, And More

iOS: Sometimes, you just need to quickly drop an event into your calendar, create a new Evernote note, or send a super simple email from your phone, but don’t want to open up a specific app. Input makes that process a bit easier.

Input is similar to something like Drafts, where the idea is to make it a one-stop shop to send text from one single app to multiple others quickly. Input’s a little easier to use than Drafts because once you hook in services, you get shortcuts to add to them with simple text commands. For example, you can type in something like “calendar meeting 9am wednesday” to add an event to your calendar, follow that up with “evernote-append meeting notes ask about dinosaur hunting” to add a line to your meeting notes in Evernote, then finally type in “slack work @here reminder, don’t forget about the dinosaur meeting” to ping everyone in Slack about the meeting.

You do this all from a single command line in the app (Input also auto-suggests commands, so don’t worry about remembering them). There aren’t a ton of services or commands at the moment, but there’s enough to see how an app like this is useful. You get two apps to link in for free with Input, but have to pay $US1.99 to add up to three more.
