DIY TV Limiter Ensures You Aren’t Binge Watching For Too Long

DIY TV Limiter Ensures You Aren’t Binge Watching For Too Long

If you’re prone to binge-watching for hours on end (thank you, Netflix autoplay), your willpower may need a little help. This DIY TV limiter can turn off the TV after a certain amount of time, or work with any other limits you program.

This is a decently simple electronics project based on the tiny Genuino board, and basically lets you program whatever you want. You can set the TV to turn off after an hour, you can set it to only turn on with a passcode, or even set it to turn on only after completing a certain amount of exercise.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Genuino, check out our guide to getting started with it.
