DIY Dishwasher Tablets Clean Your Dishes On The Cheap

DIY Dishwasher Tablets Clean Your Dishes On The Cheap

You could save money making your own dishwasher detergent. If you prefer dishwasher tablets over the liquid kind, take a look at these simple instructions.

Suburbia Unwrapped recommends using silicon mini muffin moulds, since they’re easy to get the tablets out of when they harden after a few hours and are the perfect size for dishwashing needs.

Besides letting the tablets harden, the whole project should take minutes once you have all the ingredients: borax, washing soda, epsom or Kosher salt, baking soda, distilled white vinegar, water and a lemon.

Basically you combine the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients separately and then combine the two. Spoon the mixture into a muffin mould, wait until it’s dry, and then you’ve got DIY dishwasher tablets that cost a fraction of the store-bought kind.
