Microsoft Patches Internet Explorer Security Hole

Believe it or not, there are still companies out there running apps that are only compatible with Internet Explorer. I used to work for one. Hell, my dad still uses Internet Explorer. So it’s good news that Microsoft has issued a critical update for the browser which fixes a big security vulnerability.

The vulnerability could allow hackers to use remote code delivered through a specially crafted webpage that, when viewed on Internet Explorer, can give them access to a user’s computer. For people still using Internet 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, Microsoft recommends getting the update, pronto.

For the full details on this zero-day vulnerabiltiy patch, you can find them on Microsoft’s Security TechCenter page. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to call my dad.
